Child Care Facility Application

The core mission of the Child Care Licensing Program is to ensure the health and safety of children in care. The Child Care Licensing Program strives to provide preventive, protective, and quality services to children in care by ensuring that licensed facilities meet established health and safety standards through monitoring facilities, providing technical assistance, and establishing partnerships with providers, parents, and the child care community.

All children and families, regardless of age, ethnicity, cultural background, gender, socioeconomic status, or ability, are afforded the same protections under law and regulations for child care facilities.

Below are the steps needed to take in order to submit an application to be a licensed child care facility in the City of Augustus:

Step 1.Which License do I Need?

The main purpose of child care regulation is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of children receiving care.  Regulated child care includes family child care homes and centers. Learn about the different types of child care licenses and when you need one.

Step 2.Schedule Required License Child Care Facility Orientation

DO NOT continue with the application until you have scheduled and attended a required orientation.

Step 3.Submit Your Application

After you have attended a required orientation and verified your can open a licensed facility at your location, use the link below to complete the online application through the citizen access portal.
