Register a Temporary Childcare Facility

Parents who work in health, safety, and essential services need childcare. City ordinance requires temporary childcare businesses to register and be approved. Now you can register online.

Step 1.Make sure you have time to apply

This application process will take about 15 minutes once you've gathered the required information identified below.

Step 2.Ensure your business is located in the City of Augustus 

To complete the online registration, your business must be located in the City of Name.

Step 3.Confirm you qualify as a temporary child care center  

If you're unclear if you qualify as a temporary childcare facility visit this page. As a quick reference, your childcare facility must be onsite as business determined to provide essential services in accordance with the City ordinance. Or, be in a private or in-home facility and providing care to no more than 10 children.

Step 4.Have your driver's license, photo ID and other key paperwork ready

Your temporary registration requires that you submit a copy of your drivers license or photo ID. You'll also be required to provide proof of electrical service at your facility. Please ensure you have a photo or scanned image of your ID and your most recent electrical bill.

Step 5.Have a debit or credit card ready to submit your payment 

There is a $15 fee to register. Only debit and credit cards will be accepted. Checks and cash are not available payment methods at this time.

Step 6.Ensure you have taken photos of your building

To complete the following application you must have the photos of the front, rear, sides, indoor (specifically the room in which children will be cared for).
